This event integrates contemporary art perspectives that comprehensively discuss local history, social environment, and global issues, while also encompassing long-absent architectural and design aspects. It provides a new tradition for the Keelung Autumn Art Festival, discussing the future development of the maritime city, re-establishing Keelung's local identity, and connecting with the National Taiwan University through curatorial projects. The term "tide" (潮) refers to the ebb and flow of the ocean surface due to the gravitational pull of the sun and moon. In subculture, it implies trends and styles; simultaneously, "tide" also signifies the evolution of thought and the flow of culture. Keelung, as a port city, has historically served as Taiwan's gateway to internationalization and played a crucial role in the importation of diverse cultures. "Tide" is a noun defining Keelung's maritime culture; it is also a verb, exploring and shaping the diverse possibilities of Keelung's art landscape. Under the operation of "Keelung X Tide X Art," "tide" becomes a verb-noun, a new paradigm for describing maritime cultural festivals! When the moon, earth, and sun align in this order, the sea rises exceptionally high, creating a spring tide. When Keelung re-examines the relationship between the environment, art, and local culture, it will create a new "tide" for art festivals!
