Starting from Beining Road at the entrance of National Taiwan Ocean University, a 1.3-kilometer-long road connecting Heping Island was laid, and a cross-sea bridge named "Sheliao Bridge" was added. The bridge is 185 meters long and the arch ribs are 43.2 meters high. The entire bridge has no piers and was opened to traffic on June 19, 2015.
