Zhengbin Fishing Port, located south of Heping Island in Zhengbin Village, Zhongzheng District, Keelung City, is a Class I fishing port, capable of accommodating ocean-going fishing vessels of over 1,000 tons. This port is a base for near-shore trawl fishing and was once a thriving trading port for seafood. Most vessels are over 50 tons, primarily engaged in ocean-going trawls and longline fishing, with round-trip fishing trips lasting approximately 1 to 3 months. Current ocean-going fishing operations mainly consist of trawlers operating on the Indonesian route and longline trawlers catching sharks in Guam. The main fishing methods are trawls, supplemented by rod nets, longline fishing, and drift gillnets. The fishing grounds are primarily the East China Sea, Yellow Sea, South China Sea, and Taiwan Strait. The main catches include ribbonfish, conger eels, shrimp, red snapper, mullet, squid, lobsters, crabs, and miscellaneous fish, with an annual yield of approximately 30,000 metric tons.

The port boasts excellent topographical conditions and was once a major export port for the Jinguashi gold mine during the Japanese occupation. In recent years, the government has actively constructed deep-water wharves and reclaimed new land in hopes of reviving the fishing industry's prosperity, and has also actively developed it into a nostalgic holiday leisure wharf.
