The name Lapopo originates from a fairytale-like village in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (Village médiéval) in southern France. Located in the Nuandong Canyon in Keelung, Lapopo Village is only about 30 minutes from downtown Taipei. Surrounded by streams, it boasts a rich and diverse ecosystem, and is frequently visited by flocks of Formosan Blue Magpies. The Nuandong Canyon Trail, adjacent to the park, is the starting point of the Tamsui-Lanzhou Ancient Trail. The trail is shaded by trees, making it quite cool even in summer. Hiking options include 45/90/120-minute trails to explore the beauty of the Nuandong Canyon and the Dongshi River. The park also offers dining and luxury camping services.
